Shipping, samples and delivery
Small orders go by courier and arrive in about a week. Larger ones go by air or sea freight. If you would rather not deal with customs at all, we can quote DDP and hand it to you at your door.
Samples
Samples ship by international courier, door to door, and normally arrive within five to ten working days. Tell us which instruments you want to see. For a small number of pieces we will usually absorb or share the cost — we would rather you saw the steel than took our word for it.
Production orders
- Courier (DHL / FedEx / UPS) — up to roughly 30 kg. About 5–10 working days. Best for first orders and repeat top-ups.
- Air freight — larger consignments, roughly 7–14 days.
- Sea freight — full volume orders, 30–45 days. Only worth it at real quantity.
DDP — we handle the import
On DDP terms (Delivered Duty Paid) we arrange freight, customs clearance and duties, and the goods arrive at your address with nothing left for you to do. Quite a few of our customers prefer this for their first order, because it removes the part of importing that is unfamiliar. Ask for DDP pricing and we will quote it against your delivery address.
We can also ship FOB or CIF if you already have a freight forwarder you use.
Lead times
- Stock patterns, unmarked — usually 10–15 days
- With your marking — 15–30 days
- New pattern or modified design — add 7–10 days for the sample and your approval
These are working estimates, and we will give you a firm date on the quotation.
Import paperwork — read this before you order
We supply a commercial invoice and packing list. We do not hold ISO, CE or FDA registration, so we cannot supply certificates or regulatory documents — see quality for the full picture.
What that means practically: if you are reselling instruments as regulated medical devices in your country, the registration obligations sit with you as the importer, and you should confirm what your regulator expects before you order. If you are buying for your own practice, salon or workshop, or for a non-clinical trade, this is usually straightforward. Tell us your country and what you intend to do with the instruments and we will tell you honestly whether we can support it.
Payment
Bank transfer is standard. For first orders we usually work on a deposit with the balance before dispatch, and we are happy to discuss terms once we have shipped to you a few times.
Common questions
Can I get a sample before ordering?
Yes. Samples go by international courier door to door, typically five to ten working days.
Do you ship DDP?
Yes. On DDP terms we arrange freight, clearance and duties and the goods arrive at your address with nothing left to do. Ask for a DDP price against your delivery address.
How long does an order take?
Unmarked stock patterns usually 10 to 15 days; with your marking 15 to 30 days; a new or modified pattern adds about a week for the sample and approval.
What paperwork comes with the shipment?
That depends on your country and intended use. Tell us both before you order and we will confirm in writing what we supply and what you need to hold yourself.
Ask us something specific
Send a part number, a photo, a drawing or a competitor's catalogue page. We will tell you straight whether we can make it, what it costs and how long it takes.
